Lindsay Goldring, the owner and training director at The Inner Pup, knew at a young age that her career path would involve animals. Lindsay began volunteering at the Anti-Cruelty Society in downtown Chicago at age ten, and after many years of interacting with animals and staff at that shelter, she accepted a position as an animal caregiver, assisting both people and pets. She continued shelter work throughout her college years (2000-2004) in the capacity of trainer and foster parent at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley, Colorado.

After graduating from the University of Colorado with a B.A in Communications, Lindsay accepted a spot in Shedd Aquarium's prestigious marine mammal internship program. While performing different various aspects of animal husbandry, Lindsay had the unique chance to work under top trainer, Ken Ramirez, while helping train pacific white sided dolphins and beluga whales.

Lindsay was quickly promoted from intern to dog trainer at one of Chicago's premier dog training schools in 2005 where, for two years, she was mentored by competition obedience instructors. Lindsay, a natural teacher, thrived in this environment using skills, theory and technique in an active schedule of day training and teaching. Coincidently, Lindsay trained her yellow lab, Buddha, her inspiration.

Lindsay’s self perception is that of an educator. What is uppermost in her mind is sharing her knowledge, understanding, and experience about the way dogs both think and learn. Lindsays hope is that her clients will eventually be prepared to train their pets independently.

Lindsay is currently working towards her CPDT and is a member of both APDT and the Humane Society of the United States. She is a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator.

November 1, 2008, Lindsay started working as the Operations Manager at the Animal Adoption Center in Jackson, Wyoming.
In February 2010, upon returning from training dogs in India, she accepted the Executive Director Position at the Center.

She continues her education with seminars, podcasts, books, as well as meetings with partners in the area.
